Song of the Day: “Gibraltar (Danny!’s Pride And Vanity Remix)” by Danny!

This “beat tape” was actually released on cassette.

Full stream of Potholes In My Hood Tape available now. To receive a copy of this tape on cassette, you will need to be in attendance for the first ever Potholes beat showcase on April 17 at Cameo Gallery in Brooklyn, NY.

Thankfully, it is now also available as a free download courtesy of Potholes Music (the track is $1 but the whole project is free – go figure). I’m not familiar with the impossible-to-google Danny! or this confusingly named track (chances are that he is not remixing himself) but it’s hard to go wrong reworking the intro The Ohio Player’s “Pride and Vanity” (or the horns at the end of Junior’s “Is This Love“).
