M. Constant (Boston) released his Bugged EP May 15th on Jass. This song should have been in the Batman movie.

Song of the Day: “A Man” by Blu & Exile

Blu & Exile (Los Angeles) are set to release their long-awaited sophomore collabo entitled “Give Me My Flowers While I Can Still Smell Them” on Sept. 4th through Fat Beats. “A Man” is on both the “Maybe One Day” EP which came out July 17th and the forthcoming album. Pre-order links and the free download of this track are on Exile’s soundcloud page.

This is first single from Cali-based Freddie Joachim‘s forthcoming album, Fiberglass Kisses due out later this summer on Mellow Orange.

Song of the Day: “Leaving” by Part-Time Heroes

Part-Time Heroes (Ross Wakefield & Toby Vane, London) released their album Lightfalls March 12th on Wah Wah 45s.

Song of the Day: “People that I Love (Stylin’ 500 Version)” by John Ellis and The Big Bang

To quote Ennio Styles, “John Ellis is a Mancunian keyboardist who has played with Cinematic Orchestra and DJ Vadim. He leads a large ensemble here for a timeless piece of blue-eyed jazz soul.” I highly recommend downloading the (free) 3-part compilation that he released last year to commemorate 10 years on 3RRR-FM in Melbourne.

The Main Ingredient Intern Opening

Looking forward to a full length from Sampha (London). If you missed his Sundanza EP, do yourself a favor and track it down (unfortunately Young Turks took it down from their Soundcloud).
