I’ve been playing this song a lot recently. It has a surprising mix of samples (flute, soprano sax?) for a credible sounding hip hop track. My favorite sample is the voices at the end of each four bar phrase (it happens right before the first verse starts). Where could that possibly be from?
Keelay and Zaire are a bi-coastal duo, a poor man’s Foreign Exchange if you will (I don’t mean that in a bad way) – they met and started trading beats online. Keelay lives in San Francisco and Zaire in Virginia.
There’s a video for this song but…it kinda makes me like the song less so I won’t embed it, the choice is yours.
